Is this therapy?
No. This is coaching, not therapy. I do not diagnose or treat any condition, I do not write clinical records, and I do not bill insurance. Coaching pairs well with therapy and is a good fit when you already know what you'd like to change and want help building the system to make it stick.
Are you a BCBA?
I hold a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. I am not a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and I do not provide clinical ABA services, behavior intervention plans for medical or educational use, or functional behavior assessments. I use behavior science the way a strength coach uses physiology — as an educational framework for coaching, not as regulated clinical practice.
Who is this for?
Adults whose routines keep breaking — particularly ADHD, Autistic, and AuDHD adults — and caregivers of neurodivergent kids who want practical, affirming strategies. If 'try harder' advice has failed you, this will likely feel different.
Who is this not for?
Coaching is not the right tool for active mental health crises, diagnosis or assessment, medication management, custody or legal matters, trauma processing, or clinical behavior intervention. If those are what you need, I will refer you to a licensed professional. Coaching can run alongside that care, and often does.
How does the sliding scale work?
Five tiers, self-attested, no documentation required. You pick the tier that's true for you. The lowest tier is $60 per session. A limited number of access spots are open at any time — just ask.
Do you take insurance? Can you give me a superbill?
No. Coaching is paid out-of-pocket and is not eligible for insurance reimbursement, HSA, or FSA. I do not issue superbills. This is intentional — staying outside the insurance system is what allows coaching to work the way coaching works.
Where are you located? Can I work with you if I'm outside the U.S.?
All sessions are online. I work with clients in the United States and, in some cases, internationally. You're responsible for confirming that life coaching as described in my coaching agreement is permitted where you live. If in doubt, ask me before booking.
How long does it take to see results?
It depends on what you're changing. Most single-session clients leave with a written plan they can run that week. Most ongoing clients see noticeable change in their routines within 4–6 weeks. I will not promise a specific outcome — coaching is real partnership and your effort is part of it.
Is what I share with you confidential?
Yes, with limits. Coaching is contractually confidential. Important caveat: coaching is not a HIPAA-covered service, so confidentiality here is not the same legal privilege a therapist offers. There are also legal limits — I'd disclose if I believed you or someone else was in imminent danger, in cases of suspected child or vulnerable-adult abuse, or under a valid court order. Full details are in the coaching agreement.
What happens in the first session?
We start with what's actually breaking your week. I'll ask you to map the cue, the action, the reinforcer, and the friction around one specific behavior or routine. We pick one variable to change and one experiment to run. You'll leave with a one-page written plan and a way to track it. The whole thing is 60 minutes.
Do you work with kids?
Not directly as a clinical client. I work with caregivers — parents, teachers, family members — about the children in their lives. The Behavior Is Communication workbook and caregiver coaching exists for exactly this.
What if I'm in a crisis?
I am not an emergency service. If you are in danger, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US), call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not wait for a response from me.
